With the rising number of industrial application for Metal Additive Manufacturing methods like Direct Energy Deposition and Powder Bed Processes the demand for sustainable and affordable feedstock material increased. Within two EIT-RawMaterials funded projects, namely Spaceman and Samoa, new and innovative approaches for feedstock supply were developed and verified in industrial use cases. Both low cost production methods for steel powders and novel recycling approaches for Aluminium powders were assessed.
This online workshop will give an overview and insights into the described activities to an industrial- focused audience interested in metal based AM-methods and potential new feedstock sources.
